These are great for your autumn projects (think Thanksgiving place cards, decorations, etc). And I just love that name - Autumn-licious!
While not from this set, I used a similar owl (from the Silhouette site) for this birthday card for a "young" lady in our church - she will be 90 years old!
This was a PnC Project cut from the Silhouette. I used GP Cardstockl for the base, and HP Presentation Paper (48#) for the paper piecing. The font used was Crayon (I could not find it on-line, not sure where I got it) and I used Glossy Accents on the heart "feathers" to enhance them. I shadowed the entire owl with a dark brown mat and then a larger shadow for the background. The owl is paper-pieced, adhered to the dark brown mat and then popped-up from the background shadow. For this background, I printed the design for the digital paper onto HP Presentation paper from "It's a Beautiful Day" paper pack from Jessica Sprague:
Here is the owl file for reference and in case you would like to purchase it. I did change it a little (by placing the flag pole under his wing and also the googly eyes).
Here is what my layout looked like:
and the base:
You could easily adapt the owl in the Autumn-licious set (I changed it to a pink owl) to make something similar. I designed the flag pole using Basic shapes, changed the colors; this is how it would look:
Of course, you will need to purchase the owl and the paper, but the rest of the file I can provide to you. Download here or here.
