There are lots of great Challenges (with prizes!) going on at the Nutcrackers in November Challenge at the Make-the-Cut Forum. And also some cute cut files and project ideas. Here are a few that I have completed already.
This is a free file (adapted to MTC by Michelle, original file compliments of Betty from here) for this and they are so cute and very easy to make. The papers above are also free (see this post for full information). I even made them up at a reduced size (2 per page); these would be a great little gift for guests as a reminder of you during the Holiday season. I even put a "secret" message inside.
I also made a treat box using the free papers (Challenge One). The file for the box can be found here.
And a box for the flat, round glitter ornaments.
I have a free file for it here. The layout looks like this:
For all of these projects, I have been using the Epson Premium Presentation Paper (matte 44#, one-sided) that was on sale last week at Staples. It is on sale again (although at a higher price) this week. I cut to the Silhouette with the red cap at a force of 14. The score lines cut well at that setting (but can also be scored at a setting of 7).
Hop on over the to the Make-the-Cut Forum to check out all the fun! There are a lot more challenges going on in addition to the ones I have already posted (I really like the Luminary Challenge as well). The Challenge runs through November 30.
