Simple Baby Girl Card

I took advantage of the Papers on sale at Lettering Delights to whip up this quick, simple but cute Baby Girl card. One of my co-workers is expecting any day so I want to have this ready for her little one.

 I brought the background into PSE and then imported the image onto it and sized it appropriately. I also added a shadow.

 I cut this out and applied it to a white card base. I also printed out just the image (same size) on heavy presentation paper, cut it out and layered it with pop-dots over the image on the background. The printed shadow with the pop-dots gives it a nice dimensional look.

I used the Welcome Baby Girl graphic set with the Love is Sweet Paper Pack for this project.

On another note, here is a card I created - without MTC or LD! Can you believe it? I found this cute stamp at Michael's in their Dollar Bin, and just had to pick it up. This card is for a house warming, but the stamp could work as a "missing you" card, a "thank you" card, a "get-well" card - it is so versatile! The inside of this one says "Congrats!" (his first house).

Supplies: Memento ink (Tuxedo Black), Copic markers (B00, B02, B04, C1, C3, YR12, YR31, 0), GP white card stock, ribbon and stamp from Ms, cyan card stock from Big Lots, Mint Stripe paper by Colorbok (Tuesday Morning buy).  Envie was made with free paper from here.

Free MTC file for the quote "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"

I am making this saying in vinyl - either on a tile or a 12x12 framed glass - for my friend. She is on her journey to loosing weight and she has choosen this saying as her motivation.

The font is Vivaldi, which is a free font that can be downloaded here:  It came installed in my computer, so you may already have it. The Chinese characters mean "journey" according to a Google search (if it doesn't please notify me and I will change it, lol. I don't write Chinese!).
